I'm from Sweden and I thought you might want a report from Ayr United's Sweden tripp. Well, here it is: Thursday: Vasalund (swedish 3rd league) - Ayr Utd 1-2.....unfortunatly I didn't see this game. Friday: Djurgårdens IF (swedeish 2nd league) - Ayr Utd 4-0. This was a pretty bad match, it was a dull first half, which endend 1-0 to DIF (djurgårdens IF). In the second half DIF raised the tempo and made 2-0, after one of your defense-men wasn't paying attention and lost the ball. During this time Ayr got their first(and only) opportunity to score, but our keeper made a quite good save. It was all DIF and the made 3-0 after a corner were your keeper made a bad misstake. Just before the end DIF made their 4th and last goal with a beautiful shot over your keeper. The match could have endend 6-0 if DIF were more concentrated in the finishes. Better luck next time!! The best player i Ayr was a rather short an blond guy....he was playing on the left midfield. He looked a bit like Gascoigne ;-)... Saturday(or Sunday) you will meet Gefle...I think they are about as good as your team, a though game....I will return and tell you the result. If I would guess a result I would say 2-2. Your facit this far: P W D L 2 1 0 1 2-5 Greetings from Stockholm!

Feedback: Having followed Ayr since 1976 it was with regret that I had to move to Richmond Virginia in January of this year with my job. Needless to say coverage of Scottish football and in particular "Super Ayr" is poor to say the least so I rely heavilly on various Web Sites for updates. This year has been superb. Beating the Scum in February, beating Partick to maintain our league position in the first division, beating Motherwell away, pushing the Huns for 90 minutes and to cap it all Dalziel appears to have a team capable of promotion. I have missed very few matches during the years I have followed Ayr, and imagine how pissed off I feel., The year I decide to move, they start playing with all of the passion and pride that I have expected for years as a loyal Ayr supporter. I will be back at Christmas, for a piss up and the one thing I have missed since moving. "haway the lads, you should have seen us coming"..... The one lasting memory I have is despite missing the gubbing of Scumville in February, I got wasted and hit the boozer around 1200 local time. There I remained until closing. About 2 in the morning. There I was, Ayr shirt, addidas trackies, flip flops and pished singing ma wee heart out. I was amazed to find that so many Americans wanted to learn the words to Ayr Wanna Be (No not the Spice Girls, simply Ayr on Tour).. (The younger supporters may not remember this and thank Christ for that !) I wanna be an Ayr troop Major I honestly stood there in a bar full of Yanks, who knew little about football let alone "super Ayr". Ma wee heart was bursting with pride as we all stood there from the first verse to the last. I will be back at Christmas to see the troops again. I can't wait to be standing in my usual place in the Somerset Road End, wasted and attracting the usual stares as I attempt to start the vast list (I wanted to say repertour but couldnt spell it) of Ayr songs. It's 9.30 pm Wednesday 25th November. My neighbours are all preparing for Thanks Giving what ever the hell that is all about. Me, I'm sitting here, half pished missing and still loving Gordon Dalziels Black and White Army. Haway the lads......
